How to Help

Casa ALBA Melanie services are provided through the work of our volunteers and are funded through the generosity of supporters like you. Casa ALBA is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity. Our Federal EIN# is 45-4099296. Charitable contributions are tax deductible and stay in the Green Bay area. We do not receive any state, federal, or local tax support. We do not duplicate services available elsewhere in the community. We partner with other organizations to leverage all programs to best meet our community’s needs.

We are inspired by the support of our donors and benefactors that provide all of the financial resources used to carry out our mission: "to nurture the well-being and wholesome development of all members of the Hispanic community living in the greater Green Bay area."

Spread the word - Volunteer your time and talents

   - Spanish speaking volunteers are always needed
   - Building and grounds maintenance and cleaning
   - Transportation for the Senior program
   - "Like" us on Facebook so that we can keep you updated.
   - Advocate for your Hispanic neighbors with your friends, family or your political representatives.

Year-end 2017 volunteer tracking showed 91 Casa Alba Melanie volunteers donated 4,550.6 hours at a value of $184,402.58. In addition, 11 volunteers donated 395.9 hours valued at $17,600.99, but are not included in the organization’s Income Statement, due to GAAP accounting rules. Thank you to all our volunteers!

Donate to help cover our ongoing operational costs

- We have ongoing costs for operations, insurance, snow removal and utilities.
- We try to staff with volunteers, but, pay salaries for a couple of critical roles.
- We have a strong demand and need funding for our successful programs.
- 100% of all donations made to Casa Alba Melanie stay in the Green Bay area.

Support our Endowment

Casa ALBA Melanie has created an endowment with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. We plan to deposit any excess operating funds into this professionally managed account to ensure the continued financial viability of the organization.

Donate through the MyHuterra App

Through the MyHuterra Program, donors can support Casa ALBA Melanie at no cost to themselves; and local businesses can reach new consumers that they might not otherwise have served. MyHuterra is local. Their tagline is: “Shop Local, Support Local”. They seek to promote locally owned businesses and franchises; you should not expect to see big box retailers among the participating businesses. At the same time, they provide a mechanism to support your favorite local charities.

They have created an app, MyHuterra. Donors simply download the “MyHuterra” app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Follow simple registration and select your preferred charities. Then when you make purchases from participating stores, use the MyHuterra app to take a picture of your receipt, enter purchase amount, and your charity will be rewarded with a charitable contribution. This approach offers several advantages:

You don’t have to download your credit card information,
All purchases from participating stores (cash, check, debit or credit card) can qualify for a charitable contribution,
Local participating stores are readily available on the app,
Huterra hopes to take this app to a national level, and
